For the past three years I’ve been volunteering at a Christian music festival called Atlanta Fest. Ever since I started, I’ve always worked the overnight security. BUT! I just received an email that tells what position and times everyone will be working. I’m going to be working in merchandise this year! I’m truly excited! I’ll get first dibs on all the t-shirts and jewelry AND I’ll be able to watch all the speakers and bands while I work from 2:30 pm-11:30 pm. AND!!! I get to sit in the shade and won’t risk getting sunburnt like I do every year. :)

Besides all of this, though, I’m really excited to work with new people and to get to know them and hear about their walks with God. It’s going to be a wonderful week. I can’t wait!

It’s a fine fine life.

So my Memorial Day weekend, and so far my week, has just been wonderful! This weekend, I went to this place called Fires Creek with my brother and we just spent time together enjoying the freezing cold water and doing a little bit of hiking and exploring. On Sunday night, I went to a going away party for my boyfriend (who is leaving in 2 months to go to college 5 hours away), his brother (who is also following him to college), and their coworker Emily (who is getting married next month and moving to another state). The party went really well! We sat around a fire and had chips, hotdogs, deer meat, and TONS of wonderful desserts! It was nice getting to hangout with all of my boyfriend’s coworkers and getting to know them, and their personalities, a little better.

On Monday, Brian and I went camping. There is so much that goes into camping! You have to pick the right branches to cut down for fire wood, you have to find the right place to leave your food, the right place to set up your tent, etc… I learned so much on this camping trip. It was nice just being out in the woods and having some quiet time to really listen to God speak. The ONE thing I did NOT like was how sore I was in the morning from sleeping in a tent and the only comfort I had underneath me was my sleeping bag.

The past few days I’ve been working and trying to find ways to show God’s love in my work place. I’ve been so friendly to everyone that has come in and I got to talk about God to a few girls at my work. It was really cool! I downloaded a lot of new worship songs and I’ve been spending more time with God LISTENING rather than talking. In 2 1/2 weeks, I’ll be working at a Christian music festival in Atlanta and I can’t wait to meet new people and just spend four days serving! I have seen God move so much this past week and I can’t wait to see what He’s up to next!

I almost forgot to mention! The other day while I was at work, this woman I know through a coworker came up to me and asked if I wanted to make some extra money and of course I said yes. Anyways, she is a genealogist and wants me to type some stuff up for her and she’ll pay me for every document I type. I’m pretty excited that God put this opportunity in my path.

I really should be getting ready for work now. I hope you all have a blessed day!

I am not going to apologize for speaking the name of Jesus, I am not going to justify my faith to them, and I am not going to hide the light that God has put in me. If I have to sacrifice everything… I will. Rachel Joy Scott (via wewontbequiet)

spiritualinspiration:

The next time you feel like God can’t use you,
just remember………..

Noah was a drunk
Abraham was too old
Isaac was a daydreamer
Jacob was a liar
Leah was ugly
Joseph was abused
Moses had a stuttering problem
Gideon was afraid
Samson had long hair and was a womanizer
Rahab was a prostitute
Jeremiah and Timothy were too young
David had an affair and was a murderer
Elijah was suicidal
Isaiah preached naked
Jonah ran from God
Naomi was a widow
Job went bankrupt
John the Baptist ate bugs
Peter denied Christ
The Disciples fell asleep while praying
Martha worried about everything
The Samaritan woman was divorced, more than once
Zaccheus was too small
Paul was too religious
Timothy had an ulcer

…AND
Lazarus was dead!

Now, no more excuses.
God can use you to your full potential.
Besides you aren’t the message,
You are just the messenger.

I had a wonderful day with my momma :)
